"PANTS ON FIRE"
"WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?"
BIGOTRY'S GRIP is a contemporary drama about two women forced into examining their own philosophies about commitment, honesty, self-worth, and racism after taking their online relationship into the real world.
Having been a victim of a hate crime as a child, Nic Hansen, now a burnt out nurse, buries the fact that she is bi-racial from herself as well as the rest of the world. And, it works. For a while. That is, until she moves her online lover, Becky Dickens, a wannabe screenwriter from the south, into her home.
Sure, Becky loves Nic. It’ll be a hoot living with her out west. Becky’s real quest, however, is to leave her mark on the world by convincing Jeremy Brewster to produce her screenplays before she’s completely debilitated by Multiple Sclerosis. She will do whatever it takes to succeed including keeping Nic in the dark about her illness, underhanded business dealing, and racial prejudice.
Through battles of will, family strife, and fighting for a semblance of normality against a disabling disease, the women struggle to make their relationship and individual dreams come true.
